Old Zinsco Panel Replacement in the East Bay
If you have an insurance-flagged Zinsco, Sylvania-Zinsco, or GTE-Sylvania panel, you're not alone. AC3 LLC gives you an insurance letter with before-and-after photos of the replacement, proof the old panel is gone and a new code-compliant panel is in. These panels are common in older East Bay homes and are one of the top reasons carriers cancel or refuse coverage. AC3 LLC replaces them fast across the full area from Hercules north to Berkeley south — Pinole, Richmond, El Sobrante, San Pablo, Albany, and beyond. Why Insurers Reject Zinsco Panels. Zinsco breakers can fuse to the aluminum bus bar. When that happens the breaker may not trip during an overload — exactly the opposite of what it's supposed to do. Most insurers now treat them as an automatic red flag. What We Do. Confirm the panel and give you a clear written quote. Pull the permit with your city. Install New SQ D HOMELINE panel. Label every circuit and pass final inspection. Expedited scheduling available in most cases. Our Yelp reviews repeatedly mention how we handle the City permit and inspection side so you don't have to. Call or text 510-224-5795 or email allcurrents@gmail.com. We'll come look at it and tell you exactly what needs to happen.
How fast can you replace my Zinsco panel?
Most Zinsco and Sylvania replacements are done in two to four business days. I come out, look at your panel, answer all your questions, and give you a written price the same day. You leave a deposit the next day, I pick up materials, and we're usually finished that day. Permits are pulled within 24 to 48 hours. Call early in the morning and same-day replacement is possible.
Will my new indoor panel be 200 amps?
It depends on what feeds it now. Your indoor panel keeps the same amperage as its existing subfeed, so a 200 amp subfeed stays 200 amps and a 100 or 125 amp subfeed stays at that size. When we install a new outdoor meter/main, we often don't need to touch the indoor panel at all. If your subfeed is under 100 amps, we highly recommend upgrading to a new panel with new arc fault and ground fault breakers where applicable. Upgrading the subfeed to 200 amps is available for an additional price.
